Mending & Embroidery Workshop:

Join our Sip & Sew Community Mending Workshop and learn visible mending plus a few easy embroidery techniques you can use at home to repair, reinforce, and personalize the clothes you already own.

Bring something you want to refresh - a favorite garment with a small hole, rip, or stain, a pair of underwear you’d like to initial, or a piece you want to embellish with a simple stitched illustration. We’ll provide the mending tools and materials, along with light drinks and food; you just bring the item you want to work on.

About Gathered Workshop Series:

The Gathered Workshop series is a monthly creative workshop where, each session, we explore new ways to observe our surroundings and uncover inspiration in the materials already around us. Together, we’ll investigate what can be gathered from our natural environment, such as: waste materials, found objects, local techniques, and learn new practices from the people in our community, to create independently and intentionally. The series highlights that meaningful creation doesn’t require extensive resources or reaching beyond our immediate environment; instead, we can make powerful work by embracing what we already have.
